Flexible panel for curved surfaces such as boat decks, bimini tops, cabin roofs, and roofs of vehicles and work trucks, and for industrial and infrastructure applications with a curved mounting surface. The cable exits flush with the panel, without a junction box, ensuring nothing protrudes. With a thickness of 3 mm and a weight of 2.1 kg, the panel remains barely visible on the roof. Battery voltage With a Voc of 46.7V, the panel is suitable for 12V and 24V battery banks, always via an MPPT charge controller. The Vmp of 39.7V is well above the charging voltage of the battery bank; the MPPT converts the voltage difference into charging current. Power Nominal power 120Wp with a tolerance of ±3%, at a Vmp of 39.7V and an Imp of 3.03A. The Voc is 46.7V and the Isc is 3.20A. The power decreases by 0.27% per °C of cell temperature. Connectable Series and parallel connection is possible up to a maximum system voltage of 200V DC. With an MPPT with a 75V PV input, one panel fits in series; additional panels are then connected in parallel. A bypass diode box is available for series connection of flush panels. Construction 64 crystalline SunPower cells (8 x 8) with a cell efficiency of 24.4%, embedded in 3 mm thick glassless polymer composite. Protection class IP68, operating temperature -40 to +85°C. The weight is 2.1 kg, or 3.5 kg/m². The cable exits flush with the panel, without a junction box. Mounting The panel may be bent to a radius of at least 1 m, with a maximum arch height of 150 mm. The panel has no frame and is glued, without brackets or drill holes. Sika recommends sparingly activating the bonding surfaces with Aktivator-205 on a lint-free, slightly damp cloth, and then allowing them to air dry for 10 minutes to 2 hours at 23°C, at an application temperature of 5-40°C (ideally 15-25°C). This is followed by bonding with Sikaflex 552 AT, and the cable is routed indoors via a roof penetration. Collection is preferred, as the thin panel may be damaged during transport.
