Solar roof duct DD1/W

Solar roof duct DD1/W

Solar roof duct DD1/W

The hole where the solar cable enters the roof is the most vulnerable point of any installation. This cable gland permanently seals that opening with a wide adhesive rim that keeps water out of the cable opening. Also perfectly suitable for antenna, SAT, or charging cables. One cable, watertight entry. The cable gland features a single PG13.5 cable gland. You pass the cable through the gland, tighten it, and the penetration is sealed. You glue the housing itself to the roof or deck. This ensures the cable gland remains watertight, even with standing water or high-pressure cleaning. Wide adhesive rim. The spacious, flat adhesive rim all around provides a large bonding surface and distributes the load across the roof surface. As a result, the connection is less susceptible to the roof moving due to temperature changes. ABS: color-stable and UV-resistant. The cable gland is made of ABS plastic and, according to the manufacturer, is permanently watertight and color-stable. Therefore, it will not yellow after a few summers on the roof. Bonding to ABS For ABS products such as roof feed-throughs and spoilers, we recommend Sikaflex 552 AT in combination with Sika Aktivator-205. The activator prepares the ABS surface for bonding; the construction adhesive then ensures a permanent, elastic, and watertight bond. Degrease and activate both the feed-through and the roof surface, and ensure that the adhesive edge runs along the full perimeter.
