Applications For routing the cables of a solar panel indoors on a camper, caravan, boat, or garden shed. The wide adhesive rim adheres to virtually any roof or deck structure without drilling into the construction, and the shape matches the ABS mounting spoilers from the same range. Two cables in one cable gland The cable gland features two PG13.5 type glands, allowing the positive and negative cables of a solar panel to pass through a single opening. This limits the number of roof penetrations to just one and ensures the cabling runs neatly. Permanently watertight The wide adhesive rim and the watertight PG glands together ensure a permanently watertight seal. The cable gland is sealed along the entire edge; sealant or adhesive is not included in the delivery. Material The housing is made of specially coated ABS, selected for UV resistance and colorfastness. As a result, the material does not yellow or become embrittled during permanent outdoor installation, even after years on a roof or deck. Bonding For reliable adhesion to ABS products such as spoilers and roof feed-throughs, we recommend Sikaflex 552 AT in combination with Sika Aktivator 205. Treat the bonding surface with the activator first, and then apply the construction adhesive; both can be ordered together directly below.
