Applications For securing a framed solar panel to the roof of a camper, caravan, boat, or garden shed. The corners are screwed to the panel frame and attached to the surface with the underside facing the roof, eliminating the need for a mounting hole through the roof. Two-step installation First, the corners are screwed laterally to the aluminum frame of the solar panel, usually along the long side. Next, the base plate of each corner is secured to the roof or deck. On surfaces where drilling is not permitted or possible, the base plates are glued. Airflow under the panel Because the panel is positioned away from the surface, air can circulate underneath it. This limits cell overheating and keeps the yield higher on hot days than with a panel lying flat on the roof. Aluminum construction The corners are made of aluminum, making them corrosion-resistant and dimensionally stable for permanent outdoor installation. The set consists of four corners, sufficient for one solar panel. Gluing If you choose glue mounting, a construction adhesive for outdoor applications is required; glue and primer are not included in the set.
