Victron Battery Monitor BMV-702 Black Victron BMV-702 battery monitor, black The BMV-702 is a high-precision battery monitor from Victron Energy. The device measures battery voltage and current and calculates the state of charge, consumed ampere-hours, and remaining runtime from this. Compared to the BMV-700, the BMV-702 features a second measurement input, which reads the voltage of a second battery, the center point of a battery bank, or the battery temperature, depending on your choice. Applications Almost every boat and camper has two batteries: a starter battery and a house battery bank. With the second input, you can read both at a glance without installing a second monitor. In the case of a series connection, that same input can be used for center point monitoring — often the first place where a weak cell reveals itself, well before the entire bank fails. * Yachts and commercial vessels with starter and house batteries * Motorhomes and commercial vehicles * Series-connected 24 V or 48 V battery banks with center-point monitoring * Installations where battery temperature needs to be monitored The extra input The auxiliary input can be configured for one of these three functions: voltage of a second battery, center-point voltage of the battery bank, or temperature via the optional temperature sensor (ASS000100000, not included). With center-point monitoring, the monitor calculates the percentage deviation and triggers an alarm as soon as it exceeds an adjustable limit. What it displays * Battery voltage, current, and power * Consumed ampere-hours, state of charge, and remaining runtime * Second battery voltage, center-point voltage, or temperature, depending on the setting * History: deepest discharge, average discharge, number of cycles, total charged and discharged kWh Connection and expansion The monitor can be connected to a GX device via the VE.Direct port, after which the data is available locally and via the VRM portal. The VictronConnect app works with the optional VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle or the VE.Direct USB interface. The monitor can participate in VE.Smart networking. Programmable relay The relay (60 V / 1 A, normally open, reversible) switches on low charge state, low or high battery voltage, and on the additional input also on low or high starting battery voltage, low temperature, or center point deviation. This allows you to start a generator or switch off a load before the battery discharges too much. Mounting Flush panel mounting; both a round and a square cover ring are included. A separate wall housing is available for surface mounting. The shunt is the only component to be connected to the negative terminal of the battery; all consumers and chargers connect to the other side.
