On June 2, 2023, Robust-MT approached by Jacqueline and Céline with a request to fully electrify their Unique Family 495 De Luxe sloop. After thorough coordination and a personal consultation in our showroom, we put together a custom configuration that perfectly matches the client's wishes. In collaboration with Molenaar Jachtbouw in Woubrugge, the conversion was successfully and expertly carried out during the winter season. With this transition, the sloop is ready for a whisper-quiet, emission-free, and extremely comfortable future on the Dutch inland waterways.
The owners' absolute primary condition was to switch to 100% electric boating. The old, traditional internal combustion engine had to make way for a modern and environmentally friendly propulsion system for good. In addition, there were specific wishes regarding comfort and ease of use on board:

Shore power supply
Since the boat did not yet have a shore power connection, a complete and safe charging system had to be installed to easily charge the battery in the harbor.
Power supply on board
The desire for a functional 12V socket, equipped with a traditional cigarette lighter socket and two USB ports, to power mobile devices and accessories on board.
To meet all quality requirements, Robust-MT took care of the removal of the old drive, the thorough cleaning, and the complete installation of the new components. The project comprised the following high-quality configuration:
Drive
A powerful ePropulsion Navy 6.0 Evo short shaft outboard motor (6 kW), controlled via an ergonomic ePropulsion Evo Side-mount Remote Control.
Energy Storage & Charging
A robust and durable ePropulsion E163 lithium battery paired with an efficient ePropulsion E-series 25A battery charger.
Infrastructure
The old, mechanical rod operation of the throttle required considerable expertise to be carefully removed. A complete Ratio shore power kit was also installed for safe power supply from the jetty.
Onboard net
A stable 12V network has been realized via a high-quality Victron inverter (DC/DC converter), complete with a cigarette lighter socket and two USB slots, neatly integrated into the steering console next to the digital ePropulsion Evo Display.
Thanks to tight planning and efficient teamwork, the complete conversion was realized by two specialists on-site in Woubrugge within one very productive day.
