VE.Can to CAN-bus BMS type B 1.8m Applications For installations where a lithium battery of another brand needs to communicate with a Victron system, and where the battery and GX device are located close together: in the same cabinet, room, or technical setup. For longer distances, there is a 5-meter version. Type A or Type B There are two versions that look identical but differ in the pin assignment on the battery side: in type B, GND is located on pin 2 on the battery side, while in type A it is on pin 6. Type B is intended for LG Chem Resu, AXIstorage 7S/9S, BMZ, BSLBATT, Solar MD BMS EX, and the Pylontech models without a C suffix, among others. If you choose the wrong version, communication will not be established. What the connection provides Via this connection, the GX device reads data from the battery management system: voltage, current, state of charge, and temperature. This allows DVCC to operate, controlling the charger and inverter based on the limits specified by the battery itself, rather than on fixed settings.
