The flat-plate technology and low internal resistance also make this battery suitable for short-term high current draw, for example from a bow thruster, a winch, or an inverter. Sealed and maintenance-free The electrolyte is enclosed in a fiberglass mat, ensuring no leakage and eliminating the need for topping up. During charging, the gas formed is largely converted back into water internally.
