Victron AGM Battery 12V/240Ah Victron AGM Battery 12V/240Ah The largest 12V Deep Cycle battery in the series, for household batteries on yachts, in expedition vessels, and in off-grid homes. Suitable for daily cycling as well as for the peak current of a bow thruster or an inverter of several kilowatts. Flat-plate AGM for cyclic use The flat plates with fiberglass mat hold the electrolyte. The battery can be installed in any position except upside down and is designed for repeated deep discharge and recharge. Low internal resistance The low internal resistance makes the battery suitable for applications with high current draw, such as inverters, bow thrusters, and winches. This is where AGM distinguishes itself from gel. Flat copper terminals The flat copper terminals are provided with holes for M8 bolts. The large contact surface limits contact resistance; separate battery terminals or clamps are not required. Very low self-discharge The lead-calcium grids keep self-discharge below 2% per month at 20 °C. As a result, the battery remains usable for a long time even without intermediate charging, for example during winter storage. Charging Under normal cyclic use, the absorption voltage is 14.2 to 14.6 V; for the fastest recharge, 14.6 to 14.9 V. The trickle charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 V, the storage voltage 13.2 to 13.5 V. The temperature compensation is -24 mV/°C. The maximum charging current is 0.2 C, or 48 A. Long standby life In trickle charging at 20 °C, the battery lasts 7 to 10 years. This makes it also suitable for emergency power systems that are rarely discharged. Closed and maintenance-free The VRLA construction is completely closed. Adding water is not possible and not necessary. The battery is delivered charged and is ready for immediate use. The housing is made of fire-retardant ABS.
