Victron AGM Battery 6V/240Ah Victron AGM Battery 6V/240Ah Intended for 6V battery banks in traction and energy storage applications, where two or four batteries in series form a 12V or 24V bank. The flat-plate construction combines high cycle stability with the peak current required by inverters and thrusters. Flat-plate AGM for cyclic use The flat plates with fiberglass mat hold the electrolyte, allowing the battery to be installed in any position except upside down. The construction is designed for repeated deep discharge and recharge. Low internal resistance The low internal resistance makes the battery suitable for applications with high current draw, such as inverters, thrusters, and winches. Flat copper terminals The flat copper terminals with M8 threaded insert provide a large contact surface. Separate battery terminals or clamps are not required, which limits contact resistance at high currents. Very low self-discharge. The self-discharge remains below 2% per month at 20°C. As a result, the battery remains usable for a long time even without intermediate charging, for example during winter storage. Charging. The recommended absorption voltage is 14.6 to 14.9 V per 12 V (7.3 to 7.45 V for this 6 V battery) and the trickle charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 V per 12 V. The maximum charging current is 0.2 C. Sealed and maintenance-free. The VRLA construction is completely sealed. Adding water is not possible and not necessary. The housing is made of fire-retardant ABS.
