Victron EasySolar is an all-in-one solar power solution consisting of the following components in a single housing. EasySolar inverter/charger: MultiPlus Compact 48/4k5/55. The EasySolar-II 4500VA GX enables connection to CAN-bus battery management systems; the VRM port portal for remote data monitoring via Ethernet or built-in WiFi enables ESS functionality, among other features. The MPPT charge controller and the MultiPlus inverter/charger share the DC battery cables via battery connection M8 bolts. The batteries can be charged using solar energy (BlueSolar MPPT) and/or AC power (inverter/charger) via the mains or a generator. The output features uninterruptible power functionality. The EasySolar takes over power to the connected loads in the event of a power outage or if shore/generator power is interrupted. This happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices can continue to function undisturbed. EasySolar solar charge controller: Smart Solar MPPT 250/70. The integrated MPPT has an input voltage of 250V, providing great flexibility when choosing solar panel configurations. Furthermore, because the MPPT is Victron Smart, it features all the usual VictronConnect App functionality. The PV connection for the PV panels consists of two M6 bolts. GX panel: The GX suffix indicates that a GX device for control and monitoring is built in. A GX device is usually a stand-alone device such as a Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, or a CANvu GX – but in this case, it is a new integrated GX device that is already connected to the internal Multiplus-II and MPPT charge controller. Display: A 2 x 16 character screen is a two-line display that shows what the device is doing and, if relevant, can also display a detailed error code. PowerAssist The unique PowerAssist technology protects the device or generator power supply against overload by adding extra inverter power if necessary. Unique software for solar energy applications Multiple software programs (assistants) are available for configuring the system for both grid-interactive systems and autonomous applications. Parallel or three-phase For parallel or three-phase use with the EasySolar-II 5000VA GX, only one GX device can be used. In fact, one GX device is sufficient, and therefore it is not logical to place three EasySolar-II 4k5VA GX units in a parallel or three-phase installation. Instead, two standard MultiPlus-IIs can be installed alongside the EasySolar-II GX unit.
