Victron Isolation Transformer 3600W 115/230V Applications For vessels with a 16 A or 32 A shore connection where the entire onboard network is situated behind the transformer: battery charger, water heater, air conditioning, and galley simultaneously. Also suitable for powering 115 V equipment from a 230 V network or vice versa. Galvanic isolation from shore The transformer severs any direct electrical connection between shore power and the onboard network. Leakage currents from shore no longer find a return path, thereby blocking electrolytic corrosion on the propeller, propeller shaft, valves, and hull. Separate galvanic isolators and polarity alarms are therefore no longer necessary. Safe grounding and operation of the RCD * Secondary neutral can be connected to the output ground via the supplied bridge wire * As a result, the RCD or circuit breaker in the output operates correctly in the event of a short circuit to metal parts * Push-in jumpers to connect shore ground and onboard ground when the ship is out of the water * Additional ground point (M6 bolt) on the underside of the housing Voltage conversion Input and output are set to 115 or 230 V independently using push-in jumpers. This allows the device to be used as a 115/120 V, 230/240 V, 115/240 V, and 230/120 V transformer. The 1:1.05 ratio raises the output voltage by 5% to compensate for voltage drop in the harbor. Frequency is not converted. Soft start and inrush current limiting The inrush current limiter prevents the shore fuse or circuit breaker from tripping at the moment of switching on. Soft start is standard. Cooling and Protection Toroidal design for quiet operation and low weight relative to power output.
