Operation: The cable temporarily places a resistor in the circuit. As a result, the capacitors charge in a controlled manner before the main fuse or DC switch is activated. With a MultiPlus-II 48/5000, pre-charging is completed within a second; with larger systems, it takes longer. Larger installations: For systems with multiple inverters or a large capacitor bank, multiple pre-charge cables can be deployed in parallel so that all units are safely energized.
