Victron Skylla-i On/Off Remote Control Cable Applications For installations where a Skylla-i battery charger needs to be controlled from another device. The most common application is a lithium system, where the VE.Bus BMS switches off the charger as soon as the battery bank is full or an alarm occurs. Control from the VE.Bus BMS With this cable, you connect the Skylla-i to the VE.Bus BMS. The BMS thereby takes control of the charging process: it switches off the charger when the batteries are fully charged and intervenes in the event of a cell voltage or temperature outside the range. Without this connection, the Skylla-i continues charging based on its own settings. Signal Logic The cable is designed for a control signal that is high when the Skylla-i needs to be on, and low or floating when it needs to be off. Please note that other Victron chargers sometimes use the reverse logic; therefore, when replacing an older charger, check which variant the installation requires.
