Victron Skylla-IP65 12/70 (1+1) 120-240V

Victron Skylla-IP65 12/70 (1+1) 120-240V The Victron Skylla-IP65 12/70 battery charger (1+1) features 2 isolated outputs. The second output is limited to approximately 3A, has a slightly lower output voltage, and serves to recharge a starter battery. The steel epoxy-powder-coated housing is splash-proof and resistant to harsh conditions such as heat, moisture, and salt air. The printed circuit boards are protected with acrylic lacquer for optimal corrosion resistance. Temperature sensors ensure that the power components always operate within certain limits, if necessary by automatically reducing the output current in extreme environmental conditions. LC display For status monitoring and to easily adapt the charging algorithm to a specific battery and operating conditions. CAN bus interface (NMEA2000) For connection to a CAN bus network, a Skylla-i Control panel, or the digital display of the Color Control. Synchronized parallel operation Multiple chargers can be connected in parallel and synchronized using the CAN bus interface. This is achieved by connecting the chargers to each other using RJ45 UTP cables. The right amount of charge for a lead-acid battery: variable absorption time If only light discharges occur, the absorption time is kept short to prevent overcharging of the battery. After a deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically extended to fully charge the battery. Limiting damage from excessive gassing: with BatterySafe mode If a high charging current is selected in combination with a high absorption voltage to shorten the charging time, the Skylla-IP65 prevents damage from excessive gassing by automatically limiting the voltage rise rate once the gassing voltage is reached. Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use: with storage mode The storage mode is activated if the battery is not discharged for 24 hours. In storage mode, the trickle charge voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised again to the absorption level to 'recharge' the battery. This prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the main cause of premature battery failure. Extending battery life: through temperature compensation. Every Skylla-IP65 is equipped with a battery temperature sensor. When the battery is connected, the charging voltage automatically decreases if the battery temperature rises. This feature is particularly recommended for sealed lead-acid batteries and/or if significant temperature fluctuations of the battery can be expected. Battery voltage detection. To compensate for voltage loss due to cable resistance, the Skylla-IP65 is equipped with a voltage detection device, ensuring the battery always receives the correct charging voltage. Use as a power supply Thanks to the excellent control loop, the Skylla-IP65 can be used as a power supply with perfectly stabilized output voltage when batteries or capacitors with a large buffer capacity are not available. Li-ion (LiFePO4) ready It is possible to implement simple on/off operation of the charger by connecting a relay or an open collector opto-coupler output of a Li-ion BMS to the remote control port of the charger. Alternatively, full control of the voltage and current is possible by connecting to the CAN bus port. We would be happy to provide you with more information about this product.
