Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/85-MC4 VE.Can (12/24/48V) For heavier solar power installations where a large panel field is connected directly using MC4 connectors and multiple charge controllers need to work together as a single system. Up to 25 units synchronized via VE.Can, with wireless readout in VictronConnect. VE.Can for synchronized parallel operation Two VE.Can ports enable up to 25 charge controllers to operate in synchronized parallel: they run through the same charging phase together and switch simultaneously from bulk to absorption and float. Via VE.Can, the controller also communicates directly with a GX device and with batteries that support the protocol. The last unit in the chain is terminated with a terminator. Firmware updates are performed via the same app. Ultra-fast MPPT with shadow detection The ultra-fast MPPT algorithm continuously monitors voltage and current across the panel field and maintains the maximum power point, even in rapidly changing cloud cover. In partial shading, multiple power peaks occur on the voltage curve; advanced shadow detection actively searches for the highest peak. Maximum efficiency 98%. The absorption time is determined by the battery voltage at startup. The BatteryLife algorithm adjusts the charging threshold daily when the battery does not structurally reach full charge. Temperature compensation -16, -32, -48 or -64 mV/°C, depending on the system voltage. Programmable relay and remote control The programmable DPST relay (AC 4 A up to 240 Vac, DC 4 A up to 35 Vdc and 1 A up to 60 Vdc) can be used for applications including a generator alarm or switching a dump load.
