Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/85-MC4 VE.Can (12/24/48V) For larger solar power installations on yachts, RVs, machinery, and off-grid homes where PV strings with MC4 connectors are connected directly to the charger. Suitable for long cable runs and high string voltages up to 250 V, allowing for thinner cable. Ultra-fast MPPT tracking The charge controller determines the maximum power point up to one hundred times faster than a conventional controller. In cloudy conditions, where light intensity changes constantly, this yields up to 30% more output compared to PWM charge controllers. Advanced shade detection In partial shading, multiple power points can occur on the power curve. The algorithm recognizes this and always aims for the absolute maximum, rather than getting stuck at a local maximum. Bluetooth and VictronConnect Bluetooth is built-in; a dongle is not required. With the VictronConnect app on your smartphone or tablet, you configure the charging algorithm, read current and historical yield data, and update the firmware.
