Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 (12/24V) Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 12/24V is a solar charger for 12V or 24V systems (auto-select). The maximum nominal PV power passed through by the solar charger at a 12V system voltage is 220W, and at a 24V system voltage it is 440W. The maximum PV open-circuit voltage of this solar charger is 75V. The SmartSolar solar charge controllers feature a programmable battery charging algorithm and built-in Bluetooth Smart as standard to configure the solar charger and monitor solar output. Built-in Bluetooth Smart: no dongle required. The wireless solution for configuring, monitoring, and updating the controller via Apple or Android smartphones, tablets, or other devices. VE.Direct For a wired data connection to a Color Control panel, Venus GX, PC, or other devices. Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Especially when it is cloudy and light intensity is constantly changing, an ultra-fast MPPT controller improves energy yield by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. BatteryLife: intelligent battery management If a solar charge controller cannot fully recharge the battery in a single day, the result is often that the battery constantly fluctuates between 'partially charged' and 'fully discharged'. Due to this condition (no regular full charge), a lead-acid battery becomes irreparably damaged within a few weeks or months. The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the battery's charge status and, if necessary, slightly increases the load disconnection level day by day (by disconnecting the load earlier) until the harvested solar energy is sufficient to charge the battery to nearly 100%. From that moment on, the load disconnection level is modulated so that the battery is charged to nearly 100% approximately once a week. Programmable Battery Charging Algorithm Every morning, as soon as the sun starts shining, the charge controller begins a new charging cycle based on a three-step charging process: Bulk – Absorption – Float. The battery charging algorithm is programmable with a set of default settings or user-defined settings. Internal Temperature Sensor Compensates absorption and float charging voltages for temperature. Load Output Excessive battery discharge can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the load when the battery is discharged to a preset voltage. (48V model: interface with a relay) Alternatively, the BatteryLife intelligent battery management algorithm can be selected. The load output can be configured via Bluetooth or VE.Direct and is short-circuit protected. Day/Night Timing and Light Dimming Option With the Streetlight function, you can automatically control the night lighting, timing, and dimming option. When the Street Lighting function is switched on, a timer program can be created using 'sunset' and 'sunrise' as anchor points.
