Operate and monitor the installation via the VictronConnect app, while simultaneously providing the inverter-charger with accurate voltage and temperature measurements of the battery. Applications For motorhomes, smaller yachts, and residential installations where a GX device with a screen is overkill, but the customer still wants to be able to control and monitor on their phone. Furthermore, with the MultiPlus-II, this dongle is the only way to add voltage and temperature measurement to the battery — it does not have its own connections for this. Temperature measurement is performed by default using the built-in sensor — when mounted directly on the battery with the adhesive mount, it measures the battery housing. For more accurate measurement, an optional battery terminal sensor can be connected; this then takes over the measurement. Interaction with a GX device The dongle works in systems with and without a GX device. If a GX device is present, the dongle does not overwrite its voltage and temperature data. Without a GX device, the data from the dongle becomes the primary source, and other devices can use it via VE.Smart networks.
