June 2023 was the scene of the 24th edition of the Varend Corso (Fishing Parade). As Robust-MT Marine Technology BV, we simply had to participate. Not only is it a fantastic opportunity to network locally and increase our visibility, it's also a perfect fit for who we are and what we stand for. So much fun on the water, local traditions, sustainability, and innovation. We're a perfect fit.
For this edition, we converted two scouting lily boats into solar boats. In each case, an ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 plus with an extra battery in a beautiful set of bags and an ePropulsion Spirit solar panel with charger.

Given the opportunity, we decided to really push the ePropulsion Spirit to its limits by towing four dinghies weighing approximately 1000kg each. Unbelievable, even this far exceeded expectations. Not fast, but very consistent and without noise, vibration, or anything else.
During the Varend Corso, it became clear once again what a fantastic combination the ePropulsion Spirit makes with a Lelievlet. However, what far exceeded our expectations was the combination with the 100W solar panel. Because the Corso moves slowly, the motors could operate continuously at 100-200W. Furthermore, the weather was ideal summer weather, and the panels were exposed to the full sun. As a result, the net consumption was often less than 100W. For all four days, the motors were able to complete the entire Corso on a single battery. We only used the spare batteries for the return journey in the evening/night.
For those who want to sail quietly and for long periods of time, the combination of an ePropulsion Spirit with a solar panel truly the ultimate solution.
